lohan hurts ungaro.

one of my favorite things to do is shop for vintage ties. more to come later. but the hunt is a great time. i've found some seriously awesome ties... seriously. my collection is at about 130. i found an ungaro peacock slim tie a few days ago.
ungaro has had some trouble in recent press. apparently the label thought that working with lohan would be totally sweet. well that was stupid. head designer esteban cortazar was fired because of his refusal to work with her. what of it?

i think lohan is totally worthless. but then i found this picture of her. serious trainwreck. but i cant stop looking at this picture. i cropped it from a larger paparrazi photo.
she looks so hot and flawed and cool and tough and vulnerable all at the same time. her big solid ring is totally awesome.

jookabox album review.

indy band jookabox beats rihanna!!!!!! well according to album reviews by pitchfork. here is jookabox's - dead zone boys review - 6.4 and rihanna - rated r - a measly 6.1 bahhhhh!
i really like jookabox i've seen them live about 20 times.
i went to the album release party, and i purchased the 11 track cd. good stuff . however my reservations with "dead zone boys" are the weird interludes and the top heavy track listing. many of the tracks sound better live.

basement jaxx emalkay

as much of the B&N Nation knows. i was in chicago earlier this month for the Basement Jaxx/ MSTRKRFT concert. it was too good, too much. we had a discussion on the way home about the best concerts i've seen. that was definitely up there and thinking about it more i can say it was probably the best.
this is the first of photo i've posted of myself. and it is very low quality but i love what it represents. MSTRKRFT came on after basement jaxx and this is me scratching my head at the start of the second act. i couldnt believe what i had just seen.

i'm wearing a 3 dollar double breasted blazer, burberry checked shirt, hardwood classics pacers hat, and matthew williamson for h&m scarf.

keeeeeeeeep the fire. this is an autographed album cover of the MR. kenneth loggins' keep the fire. i know its awesome. you probably know "this is it" the main single from this album. but i'd like to focus on the title track Keep the Fire. i listened to this track about 300 times this weekend. enjoy the smooth groves but pack a suitcase because kenneth is going to take you on a journey.
